Bangladesh Hindu Association (UK) started 20 years ago as an umbrella organization and a common ground for the members of Bengali Hindu Community as a whole originally from Bangladesh. The principle of the unity was based on identity of origin and culture in Bangladesh regardless of differences in opinion and current nationality status for the migration in various countries in the world.
Very first activity and protest started as Victim Support and Welfare Group of Sanatan Association for the purpose of protesting against the atrocities on innocent Hindus in Bangladesh. SANATON Association's registered status required to submit petition to the Prime Minister at Downing Street. We then invited members, organisations of Bengali Hindu the community from every city, all over United Kingdom and the National Committee of Bangladesh Hindu Association (UK) was formed on Sunday, 31 August 2003 at Toynbee Hall, 28 Commercial Street, London E1 6LS.
