London, 10 October 2026 — The Bangladesh Hindu Association (UK) (BHA UK) organised its first-ever auspicious Tarpan ceremony in London, followed by a Mahalaya cultural programme, marking a significant occasion for the Bangladeshi Hindu community across Greater London.
The event brought together members of various communities from across Greater London, who attended the sacred ceremony and cultural programme and extended their valuable support to the association. The occasion reflected the community’s shared devotion, cultural heritage and commitment to preserving long-standing Hindu traditions.
The Tarpan ceremony, an important spiritual observance honouring departed ancestors, was followed by a Mahalaya cultural programme celebrating the rich religious and cultural traditions associated with the beginning of the Durga Puja season.
The Bangladesh Hindu Association (UK) expressed its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this auspicious occasion. The association also appreciated the enthusiasm, encouragement and support shown by community members, which made the event particularly meaningful.

লন্ডনে প্রথমবারের মতো
১০ অক্টোবর ২০২৬ — বাংলাদেশ হিন্দু অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (ইউকে) (বিএইচএ ইউকে) লন্ডনে প্রথমবারের মতো পবিত্র তর্পণ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে। এর পরপরই অনুষ্ঠিত হয় মহালয়া সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। এই আয়োজন বৃহত্তর লন্ডনজুড়ে বসবাসরত বাংলাদেশি হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য একটি তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ উপলক্ষ হয়ে ওঠে।
বৃহত্তর লন্ডনের বিভিন্ন এলাকার বিভিন্ন সম্প্রদায়ের সদস্যরা এই পবিত্র ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান ও সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন এবং অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের প্রতি তাঁদের মূল্যবান সমর্থন জানান। এই আয়োজন সম্প্রদায়ের সম্মিলিত ধর্মীয় নিষ্ঠা, সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য এবং দীর্ঘদিনের হিন্দু ধর্মীয় রীতিনীতি সংরক্ষণের অঙ্গীকারকে প্রতিফলিত করে।
প্রয়াত পূর্বপুরুষদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদনের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধর্মীয় আচার হলো তর্পণ। এই আচার পালনের পর মহালয়া সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়, যেখানে দুর্গাপূজার সূচনাকে ঘিরে সমৃদ্ধ ধর্মীয় ও সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য তুলে ধরা হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা বিএইচএ ইউকের উষ্ণ আতিথেয়তা, চমৎকার ব্যবস্থাপনা এবং সার্বিক সেবার প্রশংসা করেন।
বিএইচএ ইউকে আশা প্রকাশ করেছে যে, এই উদ্যোগ যুক্তরাজ্যের বাংলাদেশি হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য একটি দীর্ঘস্থায়ী ঐতিহ্যে পরিণত হবে। এর মাধ্যমে মানুষ ধর্মীয় রীতিনীতি পালন, সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য উদ্যাপন এবং পারস্পরিক সম্প্রীতি ও ঐক্য আরও সুদৃঢ় করার জন্য আগামী বহু বছর একত্রিত হতে পারবেন।
এই সফল আয়োজন লন্ডন ও এর আশপাশের বাংলাদেশি হিন্দুদের মধ্যে ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান, সাংস্কৃতিক উদ্যাপন এবং সম্প্রদায়ের ঐক্যের জন্য একটি অভিন্ন প্ল্যাটফর্ম প্রতিষ্ঠার পথে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হচ্ছে।
