Dear Members & Friends,
I would like to congratulate all members, supporters and well wishers for their contributions and kind cooperation over 20 years of the Bangladesh Hindu Association (UK). It is a matter of great achievement that our community bonding and community cohesion in the multicultural society have significantly developed since we started over two decades ago. Now our identity of origin, Bengali Hindu Community, origin of Bangladesh are all fairly well known to the multicultural society in the UK and is recognised by Her Majesty The Queen and the UK Parliament. It's a great pleasure that our British born young generation have responded well and formed BHA Youth Forum to practice and promote their culture of origin and share thoughts among themselves. BHA (UK) have been able to enhance community support through volunteers all over UK and even abroad during the crisis. BHA (UK) have supported vulnerable people, community members with social needs during the pandemic. Therefore, 20 years of celebration is certainly a very important reason for a face to face meeting where we can greet each other and get to know each other in order to enhance community bonding and collaboration amongst members. Our social bonding is much much better than ever as we are now able to communicate, converse and exchange information by a click in WhatsApp groups that consists of thousands over social media. We have experienced overwhelming responses during our fundraising activities for humanitarian support. On this special occasion of the 20th Anniversary of BHA (UK), I hope that we continue maintaining unity, harmony and keep responding together in any crisis regardless of personal differences of opinion. Our goal is to create a nationwide unity and high standard of quality service to people in need inclusive of the wider community.
